Ein Stori - Our Story

We’re Rob and Lana, a husband-and-wife team based in Cymru (Wales), and the founders of Hose & Line.

Hose & Line began as a small, family-run business rooted in care, intention, and hands-on work. Rob serves as a firefighter currently in service, and he personally handcrafts our firehose artisan products using de-commissioned hoses that have completed their working life. Each piece carries the marks of service and is made with durability, function, and respect for the material.

Lana supports the business behind the scenes - shaping the brand, managing operations, and ensuring that every detail reflects our shared values. Together, we’re involved in every stage of the process, from sourcing materials to packing orders, because we believe quality comes from being close to the work.

Keeping Hose & Line small allows us to stay accountable, maintain high standards, and make decisions guided by long-term values rather than quick growth. By keeping production small-batch and hands-on, we ensure every item carries both purpose and provenance. As we grow, our aim is to preserve this close-knit, family-run approach while creating opportunities for others and giving back to the communities that inspire us.

We commit to donating 10% of our profits to charitable causes aligned with our values, including service-based organizations, community initiatives, and environmental efforts. These contributions are reviewed annually to ensure they create meaningful, measurable benefit.
